Refunds & cancellation

When you can cancel, what comes back, and how long it takes to reach you.

Last updated 29 July 2026

1. The principle

We are paid to produce an outcome we wrote down before you paid. When we do not produce it, we do not keep the money. Everything below is that single rule, worked out in detail.

2. Nothing is charged on a promise

Before any correction fee is asked for, you hold a written assessment and a scope of work stating what will be pursued, what cannot be changed, and what to expect on each item. If the assessment finds nothing worth disputing, that is the end of it and nothing further is payable.

3. Cancelling

Cancellation windows and what is refunded
When you cancelWhat comes back
Within 7 days of paying, and before we have filed a dispute or approached a bureau or lender for youThe whole fee
After work has started but before the scope is finishedThe part of the fee covering work not yet done. Completed work is not refunded.
After the scope is finishedNothing, because the service has been delivered

To cancel, write to harish@kenstone-credit.in from the address on your file, or call +91 96633 96610 and follow it up in writing. Cancellation takes effect from the day we receive it in writing.

4. Our refund undertaking

If we finish the agreed work and the outcome written into your scope has not been achieved, the fee for that item comes back to you. You will not have to argue for it, because we raise it ourselves when the file closes.

Two limits apply, and both appear in your scope before you pay anything:

  • The undertaking covers the outcome we wrote down, which is always the correction of a named entry. It is never a credit score, a rank or a loan approval, because nobody can promise those.
  • It assumes what you told us was true and that you gave us the documents we asked for. If a dispute failed because the entry was correct as the lender reported it and you knew that, the undertaking does not apply.

5. When nothing is refundable

  • The agreed scope was delivered, whatever your score did afterwards.
  • You stopped responding, or did not send documents we asked for in writing, and the file could not move for 30 days.
  • You withdrew consent for us to access your credit information, so the work could not be finished.
  • What you told us was false or incomplete in a way that caused the dispute to fail.
  • New defaults or fresh negative reporting arose during the engagement, which is not something anyone can undo.
  • The payment was made to a different entity. Only fees paid to Kenstone Credit against our invoice can be refunded by us.

6. Asking for a refund

Email harish@kenstone-credit.in with "Refund request" in the subject, from the address on your file, and include your name and registered phone number, the invoice or payment reference and its date, and what has gone wrong.

7. How long it takes

  • Acknowledged within 48 hours.
  • Decided within 7 working days, in writing, with reasons if it is refused.
  • Approved refunds initiated within 7 working days of that decision.
  • Money with you 5 to 10 working days after initiation, depending on your bank or card issuer.

8. How the money comes back

To the method it came from, being the same card, UPI handle or bank account. We cannot refund to a different person or a different account. Where the original method has closed, we transfer to an account in your own name after verifying it. Refunds are made in Indian Rupees, and any charge your own bank levies for receiving one is not ours to bear.

9. If you disagree with the decision

Take it to the grievance officer, Harish, at harish@kenstone-credit.in. The full escalation route, including forums outside this firm, is under complaints.
